Last year, THAAMA has the privilege of hosting a Roebourne District High School student for a workplace placement. As a Roebourne-based, 100% Aboriginal-owned business, we believe that giving young people early exposure to trades can build confidence, spark ambition, and open doors to future employment.

During the placement, the student got a real look at what happens in a welding and fabrication environment, including:

  • Workplace safety and PPE expectations
  • Basic tool handling and workshop awareness
  • Understanding welding and fabrication pathways
  • The importance of reliability, communication, and pride in your work

We’re grateful to Roebourne District High School for the partnership and for supporting local students to step into new experiences. THAAMA is committed to continuing to build pathways for Pilbara youth and community through training, mentoring, and real job opportunities.
